A furnace has never been more important as the world continues to see harsher temperatures, like colder winters. One thing that makes your furnace work properly is your filter, but these things don't last forever.

Pick up an air filter at the hardware store and you may notice that it has a "MERV" rating on it. You may be wondering "What is MERV?" It's a rating system developed by ASHRAE to provide consumers with a way to measure air filter efficiency.

If you are outdoors and you see a puddle of water under your unit, it is best to have your air conditioner checked as soon as possible. There are times you may notice that there is water leaking outside from your air conditioning unit,  this is due to warm air circulating the evaporator coil and collects moisture that leads to excessive condensation. When your air conditioning unit reaches excess condensation, this can result to grave problems in your air conditioning unit.
